2015年のブランド立ち上げ以来、春夏の定番生地として製作してきました「伊藤若冲」シリーズです。

こちらの “象” 柄は、伊藤若冲による『鳥獣花木図屏風』に描かれたものをベースに作りました。
こちらの絵画のポイントは、画面全体が四角い枠で仕切られ、その中は規則正しく塗り潰されています。この表現は「桝目（ますめ）描き」と呼ばれ、約１cmの升目を無数描き、その中を同色の濃淡か別色の２色を使って塗っていくというものです。規則正しく並べられた桝目はモザイクのようであり、現代のデジタルの世界にも通じるものがあります。枡目が全部で8万6千個とも。
なるべく原画を再現し、春夏のゆかた生地をお作りしています。
