Masterfully crafted from grapevine wood from Sanpokumachi (now Murakami City), a mountainous area in the northmost part of the Niigata Prefecture, bordering on the Yamagata Prefecture

The more the basket bag is used, the more lustrous the wood becomes, acquiring patina with age adding to its depth and beauty.
