Norwegian Rainコート　“RIVE GAUCHE REDUX”

「Rive gauche(リヴゴーシュ)」はフランス語で左岸の意。パリの人々はセーヌ川を挟んで右岸、左岸と呼び、右岸は商業地区、左岸は文京地区となっており、「右岸でお金を使い、左岸で頭を使う」という謂れがあります。

こちらのリヴゴーシュは文化、芸術系の意味を持っている計算され尽くした多機能なコートで、表地には日本製の高品質リサイクルポリエステルが使われており、環境への配慮もされています。

リサイクルしたポリエステルに見えないような高級感がある完全防水の３レイヤー素材を使用。通気性・透湿性に優れたハイテク素材で雨の日でも蒸れず、機能性抜群のアイテム。
ローブのようなたっぷりとした襟からフードのラインが特徴的。前を締めて着ると別物のように雰囲気が変わり、ウエストベルトもあり、絞って着ることも出来るため３wayで着ることができます。

北欧ノルウェーのコート専業ブランド、ノルウェージャン・レイン。
ディレクターのアレクサンダーとデザイナーのT-マイケルによる「レインプロジェクト」として、2009年にブランドがスタート。
「3日に1日は雨が降る」といわれるベルゲンに住む二人が、ファッションとして優れていながら雨対策もできるコートを開発。

Since our opening in 2015 we have been working with the brand Norwegian Rain on the line “Raincho”

The “Rive Gauche” Coat has been adapted to be worn with kimono as well as western clothes. The sleeve has been extended to accommodate the kimono sleeve.It is an eclectic blend of both western and Japanese outerwear.

3 layers of waterproof material ensure that even in the rainiest of days you will remain dry. The fabric also has excellent breathability leaving the wearer comfortable without feeling stuffy. The coat can also be worn in many different ways depending on how it’s tied, letting you constantly reinvent your own look.

Developed in Norway by outerwear specialty brand “Norwegian Rain” founded in 2009 in Bergen where it is said to rain once every three days.

With T-Michael at the helm as Designer and Alexander as the Director, they have meticulously developed a functional yet extremely stylish wardrobe staple.
