文久元年(1861年)創業、博多織最古の織元、西村織物にて製織。

「桧垣」の文様が織られた帯です。
今まで様々な模様で帯を作ってきましたが、国内外問わず身近に見える景色を柄にしたいという想いから、日本の石畳を思わせる「桧垣」を柄にしました。

こちらの角帯は、博多織伝統の総浮(そううけ)で織られており、帯全体に配された浮経(うけたて)と呼ばれる経糸を通常よりも多く使用しています。

This obi was woven by Nishimura Orimono, the oldest weaver of Hakata textiles, established in 1861.
This obi is woven with a "higaki" pattern.
We have made obis with a variety of patterns, but this time we wanted to use a pattern of scenery that is familiar to people in Japan and abroad, so we chose "higaki," which is reminiscent of Japanese cobblestones.

This square obi is woven with the traditional Hakata-ori "so-uke" technique, which uses more warp threads, called uketate, than usual throughout the entire obi.
