山形県は米沢、大正12年(1923年)創業の齋英織物にて製織。
通常3～5種類のところ、合わせよこ糸(太細12～15種類)を1本に合わせ直し、梨地織にて仕上げました。
合わせ糸とは、多色の糸を作ることができる技法で、多色な糸、素材感が違う糸を1本にまとめることができ、オリジナル性の高い糸作りができます。
梨地織の場合、密度の高いたて糸に対しよこ糸を絡ませなければいけないので、太糸を織るのは難しいですが、斎英織物創業当時から使用している木製織機は、この帯専用の開口(たて糸の隙間)が開く設計をしており、現代織機では織ることが出来ない表現ができます。
織り上がった帯地は合わせ糸によって、かすみ(朝焼け、夕焼けのイメージ)のような表情を見せてくれます。
またよこ糸が太いため、帯地が硬くなりすぎず腰回りにフィットし易く、初めて結ぶ方でも結び心地が良いのが特徴です。

Woven in Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture, by Saiei Orimono, founded in 1923.
This style of weave is called Nashiji, and is created using a combination of 12 to 15 types of thick and thin weft yarns, instead of the usual three to five. Due to the large number and varying thicknesses of threads, many colors can be incorporated, contributing to its hazy look which is often compared to the sunrise.
Weaving is particularly difficult as thick weft yards must be woven into dense warp yarns therefore custom looms must be used.
This obi is extremely soft, supple, and easy to tie and can be worn comfortably throughout the year.
