滋賀県は長浜にて織られたシルク100％のものです。「浜ちりめん」と呼ばれています。
たて糸は先練りの駒撚糸(中国糸)を、
よこ糸には先練り八丁撚糸(ブラタク)が使われています。
「東雲(しののめ)」という織り方を用いているため、生地は無地ではなくかすみ調に見えます。
染めに関しては「引き染め」を京都で行っています。

Made of 100% silk, woven in Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture.
It is called "Hama Chirimen" , named after the woven place.
For the warp, use the pre-kneaded “Koma-ito (a type of strongly twisted yarn)” yarn (Made in Chinese).
Pre-kneaded “Haccho-nenshi (a type of strongly twisted yarn)” yarn (Bratac) is used for the weft.
Because it uses a weave called "Shinonome (a pattern resembling a cloud floating in eastern sky at dawn)", the fabric looks hazy rather than plain.
Regarding dyeing, "Hiki-zome (dyed using a brush by the hands of craftsmen)" is done in Kyoto.
