京都は西陣の織元「秦流舎」にて織られたお召。
「お召」という名の由来は、徳川家斉が好んだことにある。

八丁撚糸　御召緯の証について・・・
「広義において西陣御召とは西陣産の先染めの織物。つまり先練り・先染めの糸の状態で織り出す着物のことを言います。ただ、狭義の場合や製造の現場において西陣御召とは、しぼのある織物を織り出す緯糸「御召緯」を使用している織物（本しぼ御召）のことを言います。」（「西陣きもの会」ホームページより引用）

A fabric woven by “Shin-ryu Sha” in the Nisijin of Kyoto.
The name "Omeshi (to Wear in English)" comes from the fact that Tokugawa Ienari, the 11th shogun of the Edo Shogunate, liked it and wore a lot of these kinds.

Haccho Nenshi: Proof of Omeshi-nuki (a proof sticker on the fabric) ...
"In a broad sense, Nishijin woven fabric is a yarn-dyed woven fabric produced in Nishijin, Kyoto. In other words, it is a kimono woven in the state of pre-kneaded and yarn-dyed yarn. It is a woven fabric (Honshibo Omeshi) that uses the weft thread "Omeshi-nuki (a specific type of strongly twisted yarn. ca 3000 spins/m)" that weaves a woven fabric with grain.
