Y. & SONS がオープン以来きものに合わせるコートとしてセレクトしているNorwegian Rain(ノルウェージャン レイン)。デザイナーのT-マイケルはきもののシルエットにデザインの着想を得ています。互いのものづくりに対する精神性の共鳴からスタートしたT-KIMONOは、2017年から続くY. & SONS とT-マイケルによるコラボレーション商品です。

今回は、スペイン製のウィンドウペン柄。T-マイケルは生地について下記のように語っています。

This is fabric inspired by the colours in the Ghanian flag. この生地の色はガーナの国旗から着想を得ています。
Combining 2 cultures to show my appreciation for both. 2つの文化を融合することで私の感謝を表しています。

縫製に関しては従来のきものの形を大切にしながら、そのものが持つ魅力を最大限に引き出すように拘った仕上げになっています。

T-KIMONO
We have been handling Norwegian Rain’s coat since our
opening. As some of the products designed by T-Michael
are inspired by the silhouette of the kimono, T-KIMONO,
which started from the resonance of spirituality toward
each other's manufacturing, is a collaboration product
by Y. & SONS and T-Michael since 2017.

This time, a windowpane pattern fabric made in Spain.
T-Michael talks about his fabric as follows:

Regarding sewing, while valuing the shape of the traditional
Kimono, the finish is designed to maximize the charm of the
Kimono.
